Equi-Health Canada is an organization dedicated to helping horse owners and lovers to improve the health and safety of horses by providing emergency first aid and specialized training to individuals across Canada, the United States and further!
Equine First Aid is the first treatment available to a horse before a veterinarian can attend to the injured or sick animal. The program was born over a decade ago, with the vision of educating horse owners in emergency first aid, emergency preparedness and providing quality training and products in these areas.
Developed by veterinarians, farriers, equine chiropractors, equine massage therapists and first responders in conjunction with a cross section of government agencies, the course and products provided are recognized across the continent and beyond.

* conditioning a horse to accept treatment
*taking vital signs
* dealing with lacerations, puncture wounds, colic, choke, collapse, casting, shock and hoof issues

The Advanced Equine First Aid Course can be customized to your individual needs. Do you want to focus on what to do in extreme situations and/or do you want to learn what to do in wilderness situations?
Plan, Prepare and React to ANY emergency!
This one-day course is focused on highly advanced equine emergency first aid covering everything from lacerations to poisoning, suturing to bandaging, burns to bites, fractures to sucking chest wounds to the most unthinkable scenario of humanely putting your horse down.
This course prepares the student to handle the immediate care of the most serious injuries while waiting for the vet to arrive.
Please note that the Equine Health and Emergency First Aid course described in the paragraph above is a pre-requisite to take this course!
Do you have a horse-crazy youngster? Sign them up for the 3-hour kids program covering some important basics!
They'll learn horse safety and basic first aid in a fun and hands-on environment. There is even a recipe for horse cookies in their manual and they'll get a frameable certificate of completion! No horse experience necessary!
